At the CARS Annual General Meeting held in November this year, our very own member Mr. Reyos Seebaran was voted in by members of CARS for the sportsmanship award for the year. This award is presented to one person each year whose contribution helped a lot with the running of the CARS club for that year. It is a challenge throphy.

On the 24th June, 2008 NisocTrinidad&Tobago celebrated its first year as a club. To commemorate this wonderful occasion the club planned a Motorcade to Maracas. Members met at Mid Centre Mall Car Park and then made their way to Maracas. Where they had the opportunity to relax and mingle with other club members. Our humble club has seen its share of good and bad reviews yet we continue onward learning from our every experience growing as a club.

Solodex 3 marked the middle of the competition events to be held for the year. There was a very good turn out by both competitors and spectators alike. There was a heavy representation by the Mitsu crew. They came with the full range of mitsu cars from the RWD box lancer to the AWD Evolutions out there competing and having a good time. I really respect how they operate at all events, really a bunch of nice and friendly people. TSOC representatives were also there making their presence felt in the Novice class. The Honda camp was also there taking in the action. There was also a rally car at the event taking part on what looked like gravel tyres.

Trinidad &Tobago International Rally 2008 was one of the most mind blowing Experiences. Amazingly looking at rallying and being an actual part of the rally are two different things. As Rally Marshals our members got the opportunity to Learn, Participate and do their part for this motor sport event.

Sunday 25th November NISOCTT attended Exclusive Auto Sports Auto Show and Concert at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, which had been advertised to be one of the greatest auto shows to hit the Caribbean.

VK Rally Team in conjunction with Autosport Promotions Ltd presented it’s first ever VK Super Special 1 at The Hasely Crawford Stadium Raceway on Sunday 11th November,2007. This event was the first of it’s kind in Trinidad.

Once again with history in the making on Sunday 28th October,2007 at Camden heliport NISOCTT was present at the fore front, with members showing support on Saturday. Helping to erect tents, stands and chain link fences for the big event. With the sun out in all its glory the crowd started making its way in but we the members of NISOC had our very own tent that was paid for so we could sit, relax and enjoy the races.

After being in existence for only 5months NISOCTT had it’s first ever drift and grip practice event at the (ARC) Arima Race Track, Santa Rosa which turned out to be quite an event with an average of four hundred and fifty three people in attendance. Time attack and Drift drivers kept the crowd on their toes, while the sounds of the DJ entertained the crowd between runs.

NISOCTT held its monthly meeting for September at Saith Park Chaguanas which included the first Work Shop program aimed at teaching novice members about their vehicles through first hand experience. Proud NISOCTT member Reyos Seeberan aka Quicksilver volounteered his Nissan Sentra B14 to be serviced by our very own members.

Once again NISOCTT made its appearance at the 2nd DWO drift event which was held at the Arima Race Club. NISOCTT members turned out in their numbers to show their support and love towards the drifting motorsport and most importantly the NISSAN vehicles.

NISOCTT members gathered at Grand bazaar for 1:00pm, stocked up some NON ALCO beverages before heading down to the Solodex event held at the Arima Race. It was NISOC’s first appearance to solodex, again our presence was made known, other car clubs were happy to welcome us and motivated the NISOC team to take part in the event.
